Brothers Bloom Soundtrack
The Brothers Bloom was an American film that was written by Rian Johnson and he was also the director of the film. It starred such film stars as Ricky Jay, and Mark Ruffalo to name a couple but there were many others that did exceptionally well in the film. It was released on May 15th in 2009 but an interesting thing about it is that it was only released in about 4 theaters in the country. The brothers bloom soundtrack was released 4 days after the release of the movie by Cut Narrative Records. The score of the Brothers Bloom Soundtrack was actually done by the cousin of Rian Johnson, Nathan Johnson. He also did the score for the movie that was to be Johnson’s directorial debut entitled Brick. The Brothers Bloom soundtrack lacked a total of 3 songs that were in the actual movie including Miles From Nowhere by the legendary Cat Stevens and I’ll be staying here with you by the talented Bob Dylan.
In a companion booklet to the digital release of the soundtrack Nathan Johnson made a comment that told that it made a lot of sense to have lyric based music to inspire the film and he also credited an Italian composer by the name of Nino Rota as a heavy influence for the music. In addition to this The Band was also a major influence on the soundtrack according to Nathan Johnson.
